About Me

My name is Geoff Pitfield.

I’m a media executive, recidivist entrepreneur, and one-time management consultant. I’m back in Vancouver after many years in New York, Philly, and California, but still trying to spend plenty of time in those places.

I’m interested in lots of things, including some that I want to blog about like politics, business management, consumer technology and innovation.

You can reach me via geoff (at) pitfield (dot) com or @gpitfield

A few formative places:

I learned about Product Design at Stanford University.

Scout Electromedia was a company I co-founded. (Thanks @dens for the page.)

Scout’s demise made me think that an MBA might be a good idea, so I spent a couple of years at Wharton.

Then I came to McKinsey where I focused on innovation and marketing strategy for media, CPG, and tech companies, which I left for Massify, an online film production network.

And now, I’m building a new company called Fleetly, a mobile + social application for fitness.

Needless to say, this blog reflects my own thoughts only.
